Accessibility statement

jobspace is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This statement applies to jobspace.pl together with the university subdomains that host the career office portal.

Conformance status

This website is partially conformant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities, because of the non-conformities and exemptions listed below.

Inaccessible content

  • The offer map view is operated with a mouse or touch and cannot be fully traversed with a keyboard. The same offers are available in the list view, which is fully accessible.
  • PDF files produced by the CV builder are not tagged, so a screen reader reads them as a stream of text. The same data is available as a web page inside the builder.
  • Decorative interface mock-ups on the informational pages (drawings imitating screenshots) and the deliberately blurred content behind the sign-up invitation have reduced contrast. They carry no information: what they show is described in the adjacent text, and the blurred content opens after signing in.

Content outside the scope of the regulations

  • Content added by users: offer and event descriptions, employer and career office logos and materials, and documents uploaded by students. We neither create nor editorially control them.
  • The video window on the online consultation page comes from an external provider and is embedded in a frame.

Preparation of this statement

  • Statement prepared on:

This statement was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment carried out by jobspace.

The self-assessment used the following tools:

  • an automated audit with the axe-core engine (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, level AA) run across every static address in the service,
  • a manual pass through the service using the keyboard only,
  • a review of the accessibility tree and element names in the browser developer tools.

Keyboard shortcuts

The site has no custom keyboard shortcuts except one: in the career office, employer and administrator panels, Ctrl + B (⌘ + B on a Mac) collapses and expands the side menu. Otherwise the standard browser shortcuts apply.

Accessibility features

An “Accessibility settings” button sits in the bottom-left corner of every page. It lets you:

  • enlarge the text,
  • increase line, word and letter spacing,
  • turn on high contrast mode,
  • underline every link and strengthen the keyboard focus outline,
  • stop animations,
  • move the button itself to another corner of the screen – by dragging it or choosing in the panel – if it covers content.

Your choice is remembered in your browser and applies across the whole service, including after you sign out. The service uses no third-party scripts, and the layout adapts to phone and tablet screens.

Feedback and contact details

If you have trouble with the accessibility of this website, please get in touch. The contact point is the jobspace team, e-mail: hello@jobspace.pl.

Telephone: +48 515 603 419.

You can use the same channel to request information that is not accessible and to request that accessibility be provided. In your message please give your name, contact details (e.g. an e-mail address or phone number), the address of the page where the problem occurred, and a short description of the difficulty.

Handling accessibility requests and complaints

Everyone has the right to request that a website, a mobile application or an element of either be made digitally accessible. You may also request information in an alternative form, for example having a digitally inaccessible document read out, or the content of a video without audio description described.

The request should contain the details of the person making it, identify the website or mobile application concerned, and state how to reply. If the person requests information in an alternative form, they should also state the form that suits them.

Accessibility is provided without undue delay and no later than 7 days from the date of the request. If that deadline cannot be met, we inform the requester immediately and give a new date, no longer than 2 months from the date of the request.

If digital accessibility cannot be provided, we offer an alternative way of accessing the information. If a request is refused, a complaint may be lodged under the Act of 14 June 1960, the Code of Administrative Procedure, and the Commissioner for Human Rights may be notified.

If you use the portal at a university address, you may also report the matter to that university's accessibility coordinator – you will find the contact details in the accessibility statement on the university's own website.

Architectural accessibility

jobspace is an online service and does not serve visitors at an office – there is no building that users of the service come to. All accessibility matters are handled remotely, by e-mail. Architectural accessibility of university buildings is described in the accessibility statements of the individual universities.

Communication accessibility

You can contact us by e-mail. We do not provide a Polish Sign Language interpreter or easy-to-read (ETR) versions. At the request of a person with particular needs we will present information in another agreed form – for example by reading out the content of an inaccessible document or sending it in a different file format.
